Description
Beverly Potts at age 10 vanished on the night of August 24, 1951 close to her home at 11304 Linnet Ave.on Cleveland’s West Side. She had been visiting a neighborhood park down the street with a friend. The friend returned home but Beverly was never seen again. The case attracted nationwide attention but nobody was ever arrested despite an avalanche of tips and leads.
The extensive search effort was the largest in Ohio at that time. The popular sentiment was that the perpetrator had to be someone she knew because Beverly tended to be wary around strangers, especially men. The second was that she was probably buried in a garage or basement in a neighborhood house.
The case remains unsolved to this day and public interest still remains high.
In the video we walk the same path Beverly took and walk into Halloran Park where she was last seen.
