Description
“The Real World: Back to New York” is the tenth season of MTV’s long-standing reality show, “The Real World.” This season revisits New York City, marking the second time the series filmed there since its inaugural season in 1992. The show chronicles the lives of seven individuals, namely Coral Smith, Kevin Dunn, Nicole Mitsch, Rachel Braband, Mike Mizanin, Lori Trespicio, and Malik Cooper, as they live together in a historic loft at 632 Hudson Street in Greenwich Village. Filming spanned from January to June 2001, with the season airing from July to December of the same year.
During their stay, the cast members worked as receptionists for Arista Records by day, promoting emerging bands by night. This season was unique in that it was preceded by a casting special, giving audiences a glimpse into the selection process and interactions among potential participants. The loft, which served as their residence, boasts a rich history, having been a sausage factory after World War II and later transforming into a stunning space equipped for filming the series.
