Description
Zombie Land is an interesting location. It’s also more of an area than a specific simple location. You enter Zombie Land by driving on State Route 224 just after the Ohio border in Pennsylvania. There you will find a church sitting at the top of a hill. You will want to enter that road and head down the hill. If you’re going the right direction you will see a cemetery on your left. At this point, (ideally at night) you will have entered Zombie Land.
There’s many rumors about what happens or happened at Zombie Land. The story I was told was that a family of creatures (think Wrong Turn) supposedly deformed humans were awaiting you. I was told they would chase you once you arrived at the bridge that goes over the Mahoning River. That bridge is called the Frankenstein Bridge or the Puerto Rican bridge. Also, be careful of phantom trains or really any other trains blasting down the tracks before the bridge.
If you’ve made it successfully past the bridge the next thing awaiting you is the Blood House were supposedly a witch had lived. Rumor has it that place has burned down since then.
The author James a. Willis did one of the best writeups for the location I’ve ever seen. Some of the photos for this listing are sourced from there. Mr. Willis does an in-depth analysis of Zombie Land and visits the Virgin Mary Statue, Haunted Railroad Tracks, Hilltown Bridge, The Killing Fields, Coffee Run Stream Culvert, Graffiti Bridge, and The Zombie Torch. We recommend reading more on his post!
