Description
In December of 1965, thousands of people across six U.S. states and Ontario reported seeing a fireball streak across the afternoon sky. It appeared that the objects final destination would be near Pittsburgh in Kecksburg, PA. Once residents in Kecksburg saw the craft in their skies, shortly after residents reported a crash in the nearby woods. U.S. military personnel arrived shortly thereafter, sealed off the area, and were allegedly seen later removing a large object in a flatbed truck.
There were many eyewitnesses that heard odd sounds coming from the crash site in the woods. Once military arrived you could see various flashes of light in the woods, and it appears like the glow of an arc welder. Some witnesses ventured far enough in the woods to describe the object of being almost like an acorn shape. They also felt they saw some kind of hieroglyphics on it that was visible above the ground.
After the military sealed off the area from the public, hours later a military convoy was seen leaving the area with a covered object on a flatbed truck. The theory is that the object and military personnel were heading to Wright Patterson Air Force base but that was never confirmed.
This another story that’s compelling because there were so many eyewitnesses and lots of documentation on the timeline of what happened. One theory that has always interested me was that it wasn’t extra-terrestrial at all. The Nazi’s were working on something called Die Glocke (“The Bell”) which was a wonder weapon. The Nazi’s worked with the occult and scientists to enable “The Bell” to free itself of gravity and possibly travel in time. People feel the look of the Kecksburg UFO acorn shape and the shape of the Die Glocke were far too simlar and may in fact be the same object. Did the Nazi’s use “The Bell” to escape the loss of WW2 and finally return in Kecksburg, PA? Who knows…
